But while selecting such a space you need to be cautious as this space can be still utilized be people other than you. In any condition, aim for the room which you can utilize for developing films at least till your wok id done. Now once you have decided for the room, completely cover it with blackout material so that no light leaks in. If you need to put up a exhaust fan, select one which traps the light. Install the safelight at a reachable distance over the enlarger. It is wise to set up separate sections for enlarging and developing by keeping the developing instrument on one side of the room and the enlarger on the other side. If possible, do install a long, flat sink made of chemical-resistant plastic that can accommodate all developing trays with a room at the end to wash the prints. Better keep the Pespex squeegee panel adjacent to the sink to eliminate excess water from prints. You will require keeping wet prints against the surface of the panel, which is fixed against the wall above the sink, pull squeegee across the front of the print. Keep everything in proper order so that you can find it as and when required.
